Payment
must be made by cashier’s check, wire transfer, or cash. A personal
check may be accepted where previously agreed upon and will result in
a ten day hold on delivery of the horse. Upon receipt of payment, ownership
transfers to buyer, as does all risk of loss, injury, and related veterinarian
expenses etc. All applicable registration papers and other documents including
an executed Bill Of Sale will be forwarded to the buyer immediately upon
payment, except in the case of a payment by personal check, where forwarding
of the documents will be subject to the same ten day hold.
Transportation
The buyer is responsible for all costs associated with the transportation
of the horse once purchase is completed. In some cases we can provide
local transport or provide names of reputable shippers.
Coggins
Tests and Pre-Purchase Examinations
If there is an existing current Coggins for a horse that you just purchased
it will be passed on to you with other applicable paperwork. We can help
arrange a visit to the local veterinarian to get a Coggins test done if
it has been over 6 months. It is also highly recommended that you also
get a current Health Certificate before travel.
Of course, getting a veterinarian pre-purchase performed on a horse that
you are looking into buying is highly recommended. We can help arrange
a pre-purchase with or without digital radiographs and blood work if the
purchaser so desires.
All Coggins testing, Health Certificates and Pre-Purchase expenses are
all the sole financial responsibility of the purchaser.
Deposits
If you are interested in one of our horses, you may need to put down a
deposit upon visit to assure the horse will not be sold. World Class Ponies
cannot be held without a deposit and an accompanying agreement. A deposit
of 10% of the listed price will entitle the client to right of first refusal.
Once the deposit is made, the horse will not be shown or sold to another
buyer for a time period not exceeding 7 days, allowing enough time for
arrangements to be made. Deposits can be made by personal check, cashier’s
check, wire transfer, or cash. Deposits are non-refundable except in the
case where a veterinarian deems the horse unsound for intended purpose.
In this case, a veterinary report will be required for a refund of the
deposit.
